First thing to note: following doesn't actually mean anything, especially if you 2 aren't "friends." It just indicates that your articles marked PUBLIC will certainly appear in their timeline. Immaterial (you noted it PUBLIC, right?).

1. Go to your buddies checklist
2. Hit the "MORE" button on the right
3. after that strike "Following".

If you don't like what you see because list, you can click the "Manage" pencil symbol and afterwards the "Edit Privacy" button in the upper right (see screen shot over).

Note: If you allow individuals that aren't your friends follow you, people who send good friend requests that you ignore or remove will immediately begin following you. If you do not desire a person to follow you, you can block them at any time.
